Library Coordinator, (1 year contract), Mumbai @ Teach For India in Mumbai

Library Coordinator, (1 year contract) Team Overview: City Operations Mumbai will be entering into its fifth year of operation in 2013-14. The City Operations team drives Teach For India’s mission in Mumbai. In 2013-14 we will have ~200 Fellows, 19 City Operation Team Members and 185 Mumbai Alumni. Primary Responsibilities: Network and support all the individual Fellows who are keen to start libraries In accordance with their schedule and school responsibilities. Track library project implementation on a weekly basis. Coordinate with SRTT consultants and communicate progress of the project Lead relationship with school leadership on the Library development component to ensure smooth and successful implementation of libraries Prepare the quarterly and annual narratives to be provided to SRTT Create MIS to evaluate impact on the libraries as well as collate feedback from other teachers in school and Fellows themselves Creating and communicating Fund utilization reports for the grant on a quarterly and annual basis Coordinate engage SRTT consultants on their on-site visits to the libraries Organize regular training/workshops for the Fellows in collaboration with SRTT consultants Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong project planning skills Strong Excel, Word and Power Point skills Should be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team Interest in library and literature - with a special interest in children's literature Ability to work with Teachers, Fellows, School Management and Donors Education and Experience: We believe that reaching our vision demands that we have the best and brightest group of leaders working to lead this city. Here are the minimum qualifications we look for: Graduate or Post Graduate, with preferred Education background Preferred work experience in a school/ educational setting Preferred interest and experience in Creative Arts
