Millets - Learn-Cook-Taste Workshop
Over the years our diets have changed considerably with the invasion of rice and wheat into all our meals. Nutritious millets once were the staple cereal of our diet — not rice and wheat. They were grown locally and adapted well to local soils and rain-fed conditions. Slowly, there has been a revival of these millets but the knowledge on how to use them seems to be lost. This workshop aims to teach you to make a few millet dishes and demonstrate how you can incorporate them in your daily diet.

10.00 AM -10.30 AM - Brief introduction to millets
10.30 AM - 12.30 PM - Cooking demo and workshop
12.30 PM - 1.30 PM - Lunch and wrap up.
The workshop will showcase preparation of a spread using four or five millet varieties. You will also have the opportunity to make some of the dishes as a group.
