The Board of Governors approved a policy for vacancy based promotions for the levels of Non-Teaching Group A, vide resolution No. BG/13/2012 dated 12.3.2012 and its notified vide notification No. Estt.(B}f14963/E-5661 dated 11.5.2012. The Institute invites the applications in the prescribed form for the following Group A posts in lIT Roorkee:
Minimum Qualification/Experience
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Library Science/Information Since/Documentation or an equivalent) professional degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade plus a consistently good academic record and at least 05 years of relevant experience.
Desirable:
(a) Specialized course in Computer Applications & Networking.
(bJ Experience of working in Computerized Libraries.
50% by promotion from amongst Sr. Library Information Officer PG-2 GP 5400 (Promotion by selection-cum-merit method test and interview and preceding 5 years Performance Appraisal Report.)
